I was always a sucker for the console Disney games I had when I was a kid. Disney's Aladdin and Lion King come to mind of course, as these were probably some of the greatest. Even for the NES you had some classics such as Duck Tales and Chip N Dales : Rescue Rangers. But I don't think I ever heard about Adventures in the Magic Kingdom until I got my hands on it.

Better yet, he needs to move to a more populated area and stop Island Hopping. OBVIOUSLY it's a bad trend. Like hipsters moving into Brooklyn, aliens always abduct girlfriends on islands.

Well, Master Higgins is at it again. Another group of islands filled with adventure (see, what I did there) and another princess to be rescued. Princess Tina has a real trust issue. She obviously was not taught as a child to yell "STRANGER, DANGER!". Then again, it's my guess that she has Stockholm Syndrome (same goes for every other princess that gets kidnapped in video games)

Oh, my dearest Hudson Soft - how many times did I end up renting this game in my meager attempts to defeat it? It is seemingly impossible to resist playing as a palm frond skirt clad, white hat donning fat man running through the treacherous jungles of ADVENTURE ISLAND.

This is one of those games that everyone seems to know. Whether you recognize it as a Wonder Boy clone from SEGA, or just as a killer platformer for the NES, the fact remains it's right up there with some of the other big names of the NES library.

Years before anyone even knew the name Tony Hawk, there was a little game known as 720°.  Considered to be the original predecessor and the originator of the acclaimed SKATE or DIE game, 720° was one of the first skateboarding games to hit the consoles. To this day, I do not understand the appeal of skateboarding games. This is totally reflective off my biased opinions toward sport games in general. So I apologize.

It's beginning to look like there is no saving the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons games for the NES. Just when I thought it couldn't get much worse with Heroes of the Lance, in comes Hillsfar. At least with Heroes of the Lance, I had some sense of what I was meant to do. With Hillsfar, you're thrown into a giant city and just left to your own devices. Get ready for some epic D&D adventuring!
